OUR CHILDREN

IS OUR FUTURE

THE PROJECT

According to data conducted by UNICEF in 2017, child sexual abuse was experienced by one in every five females and one in every eleven males across the world. 11 to 22 percent of girls and three to 16.5 percent of boys were sexually abused and harassed in the South East Asian Countries.

The  Sexual Education Awareness (S.E.A) project aims to empower children with basic skills in preventing sexual abuse. S.E.A is one of the holistic guidelines to help your child stay away from dangerous objects and protect themselves.

THE HARD TRUTH

1/5 of girls and 1/12.5 boys

ARE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BEFORE 18 YEARS OLD.

73%

WILL NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS FOR AT LEAST A YEAR.

45%

DON'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT IT

Sexual abuse of children has become more alarming. Students in this region are only taught the bare necessities when it comes to sex-related topics under the current curriculum.

Conversations about sexuality is considered as taboo making most of our children do not have defensive skills, protect themselves in situations of abuse.
